Argentine president Mauricio Macri made a donation worth 16.666 million pesos, or about $ 1.2 million (equivalent to USD 16 billion) for the Vatican. Unfortunately, donations rejected by Pope Frasiskus, because there are nominal given the number '666'.
In the history of the holy book, the number 666 is equated with Satan or animal figures. This figure also cited figures refer to the end-time gospel testimony.
"I do not like 666," Pope Francis said, as quoted by TIME, Wednesday (15/6).
The donation was given by Argentina for an education foundation Scholas Occurenters as reported by the Italian newspaper La Stampa's Vatican Insider.
Incidentally, the relationship Pope Francis and Argentine president Mauricio Macri were strained. It is based on a disagreement with the Pope over economic policy and liberal-leaning political Macri. When Macri received a visit a few months ago, the Pope looked frowning face. Though Pope Francis is a citizen of Argentina.
