Saudi Arabian prince named Turki al-Faisal urged the United States not to choose Donald Trump as a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections.
Faisal is a Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the US in the period 2005-2007. He expressed his petition on the American people when invited to dinner at Capital Washington two days ago, as reported by the Daily Mail newspaper on Sunday (8/5).
Faisal blasted Trump statement that would ban all Muslims into the United States.
"I can not believe a country like the United States will have a president who once said, 'The Muslims would not be allowed into the United States,' 'said Turkey, as quoted by the Huffington Post website.
"This is your decision, not my decision. I just hope that you, the American people, make the right choice next November," he said.
He graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, it now serves as the head of the Center of Studies and Research King Faisal Islam, an organization that examines politics, sociology, and cultural heritage.
Trump made controversial statements about the ban for Muslims in December last year. He reaffirmed the statement in an interview with MSNBC television station Wednesday. He was not afraid if the statement it would make him lose the presidential election.
"I'm doing the right thing in this case. Whether it's a matter of Muslim or other, I have to do the right thing, that's how I have to do for this," he said.
